Ph.D in History and Critics of Architectural and Environmental Heritage, is full professor at Politecnico di Torino (POLITO) where she teaches Digital Urban History in Master Courses. She is a member of the Doctoral Committee in Architectural and Landscape Heritage and the co-director (with professor W. Wendrich, University of California, Los Angeles) of the International Summer School Program “Cultural Heritage in Context. Digital Technologies for the Humanities” jointly managed by POLITO and UCLA-Cotsen Institute of Archaeology. She serves as President of the AISU Italian Association of Urban History (www.aisuinternational.org) and is a member of the City history museums and research network of Europe based at the Barcelona History Museum.  She has been Professeur Invitée at the École des Hautes Études en sciences sociales  in Paris, Visiting Professor at UCLA (US) and at the Harbin Institute of Technology (China).

Recent competitive research projects: H2020 RURITAGE “Rural regeneration through systemic heritage-led strategies” 2018/2022 (POLITO project manager and WP leader); H2020 SHELTER “Sustainable Historic Environments hoListic Reconstruction through Technological Enhancement and community based Resilience” 2019/2023 (POLITO project manager and Tasks leader); “Cultural Heritage in Context. Digital Technologies for the Humanities”, POLITO Call Internazionalizzazione 2016/18 (PI); DAHMUSE Digital art and Humanities for Cultural Heritage, DIST Call 2018/2019 (coordinator); MNEMONIC “Atlante digitale della Memoria del Presente” 2020/2021 (coordinator).

She is the first author of the deliverables “Ruritage Atlas” ( H2020 RURITAGE project, 2020), “Methodology for Local knowledge extraction” (H2020 SHELTER project, 2019), “Anatomy of Historic Areas: Methodology for collaborative Cultural Heritage characterisation” (H2020 SHELTER project, 2020).
