Research Team

The multidisciplinary research group comprises research and teaching staff from both Politecnico and University of Turin. The variety of expertise ranges from urban history to heritage history, to heritage management and organization; from landscape architecture to information processing systems to strategies for interaction between museums and contemporary art.  Members of the research group work together to develop new collaborative and cross-sector strategies to holistically address the interdisciplinary character of cultural and natural heritage in a holistic form.


Polo del 900

The Polo del ‘900 is a cultural center opened to citizens and addressed especially to the younger generation and new citizens. At the Polo del ‘900 find their place 22 participating authorities that represent a solid reference point in the historical, social, economic and cultural research of the twentieth century and in the preservation of the value of resistance, democracy and freedom. The concentration and integration of the archives and the libraries, the different experiences and the partner authorities’ skills, the willing of connection between memories and the present, history with the major topics of modernity, make the Polo del ‘900 an innovative subject addressed at everyone who desire to be closer to the major topics of the twentieth century and of the current ages. SDG11LAB

The SDG11Lab laboratory, built within the DIST Excellence Project, provides an infrastructure of spatial data to guarantee an efficient access to data sources of general interest (such as satellite and aircraft acquisitions, cartographic data of reference) also integrated with specific thematic data, and to provide analysis, representation and visualization tools.
